What is red burns?

Red burns are injuries to the skin caused by heat, fire or chemicals that result in redness, pain, swelling, and possibly blisters. The severity of the burn depends on the depth of the affected skin layers. First-degree burns affect only the outer layer of skin, while second-degree burns penetrate deeper into the skin and may cause blistering, pain, and swelling. Third-degree burns are the most severe, affecting all layers of the skin and sometimes even the underlying tissue. They can cause permanent scarring and nerve damage. Red burns can be treated with cool water, aloe vera, antibiotic ointments, and pain medication. In severe cases, medical attention may be required. It is important to seek medical help if the burn covers more than three inches in diameter or affects the face, hands, feet, or genitalia.
